Manufacturing method

The genomic DNA (gDNA) is isolated by cell lysis followed by the addition of Proteinase K and RNAse A and purification on columns. The conditions have been chosen to allow for PCR or other enzymatic reactions in the downstream process. The fragment length of the purified DNA is up to 50kb.

Quality control

  • The quality and purity of the DNA are tested with a spectrophotometer. Absorption at A260/280 is between 1.8 and 2.0. Contamination with RNA, proteoglycans, and polysaccharides is excluded.
  • We can quantify the double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) content free of charge, please contact us for more information.
  • Please contact us for further information if you require DNA from HLA-typed cell lines.
  • Store at 4°C for frequent use or at -20°C for occasional use.
  • For prolonged storage (> 6 months) we recommend -80°C.
  • Avoid more than three freeze/thaw cycles.

RPMI-1640 represents an excellent cell culture medium for human and animal lymphocytes, either normal or neoplastic. 

Accutase Cell Detachment solution is a ready-to-use cell detachment solution of proteolytic and collagenolytic enzymes. Useful for the routine detachment of cells from standard tissue culture plastic ware and adhesion coated plastic ware, and polymers. Accutase performs exceptionally well in detaching cells for the analysis of cell surface markers, virus growth assays, quiescence assays by serum starvation, transformation assays by oncogene transfection, neural crest cell migration assays, cell proliferation, cell haptotaxis, tumor cell migration assays, routine cell passage, production scale-up (bioreactor), and flow cytometry.Accutase does not contain mammalian or bacterial derived products.  

Our Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) is triple filtered through 0.1 µm filters. Each lot is tested for sterility and for the ability to support the growth of several different cell lines. Fetal bovine serum is manufactured from fetal bovine blood collected at government registered facilities in South America.

Keep frozen at -40°C to -10°C.
